These mechanical seals are a non-pusher, balanced metal bellows design. The bellows provide axial flexibility and a self-cleaning effect, helping to prevent solids build‑up around the convolutions. With no dynamic elastomer in the sealing interface, the design eliminates O-ring hang-up and other common failure modes associated with pusher-type seals.
The seals are also available as single & double mechanical seals in cartridge configuration for demanding services. Typical applications include hydrocarbon processing, pulp and paper, steel, mining and power‑generation industries. Gipfel Engineering has extensive experience in the overhaul and reconditioning of metal bellows mechanical seals.
