TP-4000

Description 

TP-4000 is a fibrous, flexible mechanical sealing compound designed to replace conventional braided packing and, in suitable services, provide a practical alternative to mechanical seals. The compound surrounds the shaft as a lubricated sealing mass, reducing localized pressure points, sleeve scoring, and frictional loading while eliminating the requirement for continuous cooling or flush water. Official Tom-Pac literature describes the compound as self-lubricating and self-cooling, with maintenance performed through online injection systems rather than equipment shutdown. 

 

The grade is best positioned for general industrial applications where plant reliability, water conservation, energy reduction, and simplified inventory are priorities. Typical target sectors include steel mills, power plants, sugar factories, wastewater treatment, pulp and paper, petrochemical, oil and gas, chemical plants, bulk drug processing, and general process industries using pumps, agitators, mixers, clinker grinders, autoclaves, and valves.
