These mechanical seals are a non-pusher, balanced metal bellows design. The bellows provide axial flexibility and a self-cleaning action that throws off suspended particles, improving reliability in contaminated services. Because there is no dynamic elastomer, the design eliminates O-ring hang-up and many of the failure modes associated with pusher-type seals
The seals are also available as single & double mechanical seals in cartridge configuration for demanding applications. They are widely used in hydrocarbon processing, pulp and paper, steel, mining and power industries. Gipfel Engineering has extensive experience in the reconditioning and refurbishment of metal bellows mechanical seals.
