Product Overview: 

The BS710 is a precisionengineered stationary metal bellows semicartridge mechanical seal developed for hightemperature and hazardous process services, including hot oil, thermic fluids, hydrocarbons and chemically aggressive media. Its welded metal bellows element replaces conventional dynamic secondary elastomers, eliminating Oring hangup, hardening or cracking and making the seal particularly suitable where elevated temperatures and aggressive chemistry would quickly degrade elastomeric components. 

 

In the stationary bellows configuration, the bellows and seal face remain fixed in the gland while the rotary hardware runs against them. This arrangement greatly reduces the influence of shaft deflection, vibration and runout on the sealing faces, promoting stable face tracking and improved reliability in demanding pump and mixer applications. The inherently nonclogging bellows construction also resists fouling, supporting dependable performance with clean and light hydrocarbon services. 

 

Supplied as a factoryassembled semicartridge unit, the BS710 is preset to the correct working length and mounts directly onto the shaft or sleeve without onsite adjustment. This design simplifies installation, prevents misalignment, reduces setting errors and shortens maintenance turnaround, making it ideal for plantwide standardisation on critical equipment.
