The MR220 Multi-spring reverse pressure-balanced Mechanical Seal is an externally mounted, reverse pressure-balanced seal that features an ‘O’ ring as its secondary seal. It is available with various seal face materials and elastomers, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
This seal is ideal for corrosive environments, as the metallic components do not come into contact with the liquid being sealed. It can also be installed in a double back-to-back arrangement as an internal seal, and even if the barrier fluid pressure drops, it prevents process fluid from mixing with the barrier fluid, hence its designation as a Reverse Pressure Balanced Seal.
This design is perfect for stock rationalization. The seals are factory-assembled and dynamically tested to ensure optimal performance.
